Chuck Giles is my brother in-law, married to my baby sister, Renee. When Chuck first took me on a tour of Lincoln Center and especially the State Theatre, I was amazed. It was wonderful. Our daughters enjoyed that first visit so much and one of them was into ballet at the time and danced on the same stage as the New York City Ballet performers! What a great time they had in NYC and at Lincoln Center. On another visit, many in our family witnessed the graduation of my sister, Renee with her MSW from Yeshiva University held at the State Theatre. Chuck has entertained us with many stories of the performances at New York City Opera. Also, he has taken his time to escort friends from North Carolina around Lincoln Center. One of my friends had a brain tumor and before she passed away she wanted to see NYC, Chuck took her on a backstage tour of the New York City Opera and Lincoln Center, before she passed away, she always told me what a special time that had been for her. Chuck is a wonderful husband to my sister and a special uncle to his nieces and nephews on both sides of his family. I hope New York City Opera will keep Chuck around for many years to come so he can continue to promote NYC and Lincoln Center, not only on their 50th. anniversary but for years to come when he is "home down South" just as any good "ambassador" would do. Happy 50th Lincoln Center.
