In my career as a dancer, I am honored to say I performed at almost all of the theaters at Lincoln Center. I danced with the Stuttgart Ballet Company as an extra at the Metropolitan Opera House, with the Polish American Folk Dance Company at Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, the Guggenheim Bandshell and on the Josie Robertson Plaza as part of the Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival, with the National Dance Institute at the Vivian Beaumont Theater and with a off-Broadway theater group at the Performing Arts Library. One of the most memorable moments was dancing on a stage in front of the fountain as part of the Lincoln Center Out of Doors Festival. Besides getting dressed and undressed in an open space, which was an experience in itself, we set up many racks of costumes around the fountain. Some people from the audience thought the clothes on the racks were for sale and wanted to try them on. Thanks to Lincoln Center Security Guards, who came to the rescue, they put up barriers to separate us from the public. Otherwise, we would have been dancing with hardly any clothes on.
