A free performance by the Silk Road Ensemble with cellist Yo-Yo Ma inaugurates the newly renovated Guggenheim bandshell, and continues Lincoln Center's commitment to making the arts accessible. The Bandshell was originally built in 1969 and is newly restored to coincide with the 50th Anniversary. The opening concert is broadcast to millions as part of Live from Lincoln Center on PBS.
